A short trailer I made for my forthcoming picture story book ‘The Tree’

(It’s actually meant to loop which is why it’s so short…!)

‘The Tree’ will be published in May by Walker Children’s Books.

Two days art workshopping in #portsmouth schools, and 120 bird collages later…

WONDERFUL work by the children, I’m sure you’ll agree. What impressed me most was how engaged every single pupil became with the project, precipitating talk about ‘habitat’ and the natural world. Many of them weren’t sure what a sparrow was before we started.

Thanks @btobirds @childrensbkshow @portslibraries and all the children and teachers who worked so hard to make it happen. The exhibition will be open for the holidays.
